Softer than KIYOMI and slightly firmer than Mitsuki, mineral-oil-free, with very low fibre loss and a beautiful golden colour. Ideal for floor work (ø 6 mm also for suspension work at your own risk). What makes KINSEI so special: Soft, flexible & skin-friendly KINSEI is medium-wound and feels pleasantly soft. There are no prickly fibres that can penetrate the skin. It becomes even more supple with use and remains low-maintenance – perfect for prolonged skin contact. 100% Natural Made from 100% premium-grade Tossa jute (Corchorus olitorius). Biodegradable, mineral-oil-free (JBO-free) and VOT-batched with soybean oil. It leaves no harmful residues. Easy conditioning Before you use the rope, you should condition it. Don’t worry – we include step-by-step instructions. This way you can prepare your KINSEI rope perfectly for your sessions. For conditioning we recommend our vegan rope butter. Mitsuki jute rope – a chemical-free, loose-lay rope for bondage! Incredibly soft and perfect for sensitive skin! Our Mitsuki rope is the perfect rope for sensitive skin. Whilst single-ply ropes happen to contain the occasional piece of jute bark that can penetrate the skin, this rope is to 99% free of this problem. And it’s also easy to condition! Mitsuki is a S-twist multi-ply, 3-strand rope and available in various lengths, diameters and sets. Here are some reasons why you should definitely try this rope: 1. Natural and Sustainable: Jute is a natural fibre obtained from the jute plant. It is biodegradable and leaves no harmful residues in the environment. With AMATSUNAWA ropes you are contributing to a more sustainable world. 2. Conditioning Made Easy: Before you use the rope, you need to condition it. Don't worry, we include step-by-step instructions with every order. This way you can prepare your Mitsuki jute rope perfectly for your bondage sessions and projects. 3. We have provided an additional 30cm of rope for the knots, so e.g. a 4m long rope is actually 4.30m long, etc. 4. The Finest Yarns: Multi-ply ropes are challenging to produce. For our Mitsuki rope, we have succeeded in finding traditional rope-making technology to have this rope manufactured according to our specifications in the highest quality especially for bondage applications. The outcome is a perfectly balanced light-golden and fresh smelling jute rope, that is delightful to feel on your skin! 5. True Diameter: Our Mitsuki 5.5 mm rope truly lives up to its 5.5 mm specification. Our supplier has confirmed that the actual diameter ranges from 5.5 mm to 5.8 mm. 6. Using Mitsuki for Uplines: Mitsuki has been manufactured from very fine yarns to produce a very soft to the touch, pliable and flexible rope. Fine yarns break easier than thicker yarns. We therefore recommend using our single-ply 6mm and 5.5mm KIYOMI ropes for uplines, especially for heavier weight models. Ready to Unleash Your Rope Skills? We are proud to offer to you our vegan rope butter for the ongoing care and conditioning of jute ropes for bondage, Shibari and Kinbaku. This rope butter is handmade by us following a self-developed and widely tested recipe and is a balanced mixture of Jojoba oil and Mokurō wax. Compared to the traditional rope butter with beeswax, the vegan rope butter gives your rope significantly more shine than the rope butter with beeswax, whose finish is fairly matte. It comes in a solid plastic pot that contains a generous 100 g / 3.5 oz of rope butter. You will also receive a booklet with tested instructions on how to apply this butter during the conditioning process to your ropes. So, you have easy-to-follow step by step instructions to achieve the best possible results and end up with amazing ropes. The feel of a rope is crucial. Conditioning also improves the handling of the rope, reduces wear, and tends to reduce fibre loss. It also gives a lovely patina to the rope. The rope butter can be worked into a rope whenever needed e.g. after extensive use, or if it becomes dry. Dosage: For conditioning an 8m rope, we recommend using approximately 3g of butter (about a hazelnut-sized amount). 100 g of rope butter is therefore sufficient to condition at least 30 pieces of 8m jute rope. Care well for your ropes and enjoy them for longer! Further detailed product safety and usage guidelines for our products can be found here.
