KINSEI – soft, flexible & golden
KINSEI is a particularly soft and flexible 3-strand Z-twist rope made from single-ply yarn. It sits comfortably between KIYOMI and Mitsuki: softer and more supple than KIYOMI, yet a touch firmer and more robust than Mitsuki. Its medium lay, very low fibre loss and smooth feel make it ideal for prolonged skin contact and floor work (Ø 6 mm also suitable for suspension work at your own risk).

Beginner-friendly lengths
The chosen rope lengths are deliberately beginner-friendly and especially easy to handle. The 4 m and 6 m ropes are perfect for quick hand and ankle ties, while the 8 m rope offers more room for body wraps and similar ties. A small but practical set for anyone just starting with Shibari or trying KINSEI for the first time.
Unisex Navy Blindfold
The 3-ply blindfold made of finely woven cotton poplin is grippy, shape-retaining and highly opaque. At 110 cm long, it can be worn flexibly or tied classically at the back of the head. The dense weave ensures excellent light blocking – ideal for sensory deprivation, meditation or intense sessions.
All ropes are untreated/raw and come with taped ends (approx. 30 cm extra length for your own knots). We recommend conditioning before first use with our vegan rope butter.

Note: The stated breaking load is a reference value based on a tested section of the product. As this is the first batch of KINSEI, long-term practical data is not yet available.
Manufactured in small batches:
KINSEI is handcrafted in small batches by a dedicated team on traditional machinery. Individual mother spools may therefore differ slightly in measured diameter and lay within the same nominal diameter. When you buy a set, the ropes in the set can consequently vary slightly from one another. This is not a defect, but inherent to batch production and does not affect quality or usability.

Important information about the product:
With KINSEI, strand joins are executed seamlessly (the ends of a strand lie neatly side by side) instead of using many knots. Please inspect the rope before use for such transition sections (approx. 50–100 cm) and remove them if necessary. We also recommend removing any rare joining knots from yarn spinning wherever possible.
